This 30-minute wallaby encounter at Jungle Island gives guests the rare chance to meet these energetic marsupials up close. Inside the wallaby habitat, you’ll get to observe their curious personalities, learn what makes them unique, and maybe even catch them hopping around or lounging in the sun.

It’s not just a photo op (though there will be plenty of those). A knowledgeable guide will share fun facts and answer questions about wallaby behavior, diet, and how they thrive in both the wild and at the park. Admission also includes access to Jungle Island’s full park experience, from the treetop walkways to splash zones, making this a great way to round out a full day of adventure.

Any restrictions to participate?

• Age: Minimum age is 6 years old
• Health limitations: Not suitable for individuals suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol

Who can you accommodate for?

• Children: Participants between the ages of 6 and 16 must be accompanied by an adult encounter participant (1 adult per 6 youth). Minors under 18 must have a signed liability waiver by a parent or legal guardian. If a guardian is not present, a notarized Child Care Authorization Form and a copy of the guardian’s ID are required
• Individuals with disabilities: Guests with medical conditions or special needs are encouraged to inform the reservationist in advance so accommodations can be arranged
• Pets: Sorry, no pets allowed

What to expect on the day of the experience?

• Duration: 30 minutes
• What’s included:
  • Up-close interaction with wallabies inside the exhibit
  • Educational experience led by trained animal care staff
  • General admission to Jungle Island, including Jungle Splash, Tree Walk Village, and the park
• Who will be present: Professional animal care staff will guide the encounter; participants may be joined by other guests in a small group
• Spectators: This is a participant-only experience; spectators are not allowed inside the encounter space
• Photo/ video: Personal photography is welcome; Jungle Island may also photograph or film the experience for promotional purposes
• Specific rules to follow: Participants must follow all safety and animal care staff instructions and complete the Animal Experience Liability Release Waiver

How to prepare?

• Weather dependency: This is an indoor/outdoor experience and will proceed rain or shine
• Arrival: Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled start time to check in and receive wristbands. Late arrivals may be subject to cancellation.
• Parking: Onsite parking is available at Jungle Island (1111 Parrot Jungle Trail, Miami, FL)
• What to wear: Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes are recommended
• What to bring: Valid ID, camera or phone, water bottle
• Restrooms/ lockers/ changing rooms: Restrooms are available throughout the park; no changing rooms or lockers are provided

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 14 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 24 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 24 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
