The 30-minute “Happy Cappy” experience is perfect for animal lovers of all ages (6 and up), offering a rare opportunity to interact with these quirky creatures in a safe, guided environment. Admission also includes access to the rest of Jungle Island, so once you’ve made a new furry friend, you can explore everything else the park has to offer.

Any restrictions to participate?

• Age: Minimum age is 6 years old
• Health limitations: Not suitable for individuals suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol

Who can you accommodate for?

• Children: Participants between the ages of 6 and 16 must be accompanied by an adult encounter participant (1 adult per 6 youth). Minors under 18 must have a signed liability waiver by a parent or legal guardian. If a guardian is not present, a notarized Child Care Authorization Form and a copy of the guardian’s ID are required
• Individuals with disabilities: Guests with medical conditions or special needs are encouraged to notify the reservationist in advance for appropriate accommodations
• Pets: Sorry, no pets allowed

What to expect on the day of the experience?

  • Educational presentation about Capybaras and their natural habitats
  • General admission to Jungle Island, including Jungle Splash, Tree Walk Village, and the park
• Who will be present: Animal keepers and trained staff will guide the experience
• Spectators: Only participants with encounter tickets may enter the experience area
• Photo/ video: Personal photography is encouraged. Guests may be photographed or recorded by the park for promotional purposes
• Specific rules to follow: Participants must follow staff instructions and complete an Animal Experience Liability Waiver

How to prepare?

• Weather dependency: This is an indoor/outdoor experience and operates rain or shine
• Arrival: Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled start time. Late arrivals may be subject to cancellation.
• Parking: Onsite parking available at Jungle Island (1111 Parrot Jungle Trail, Miami, FL)
• What to wear: Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes are recommended
• What to bring: Photo ID, water, camera or phone
• Restrooms/ lockers/ changing rooms: Restrooms are available on site

• Encounters are subject to park rules and may be modified or canceled in the event of unforeseen circumstances

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 14 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 24 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 24 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
