This 30-minute guided encounter at Jungle Island invites guests to step inside the habitat and interact with a flock of vibrant American flamingos. Learn fun facts from the keepers who care for them daily, and get the chance to hand-feed these elegant birds as they strut, squawk, and show off their signature poses.

The experience also includes access to the rest of Jungle Island’s attractions, including Jungle Splash and Tree Walk Village, so there’s plenty to explore before or after meeting the flamingos. It’s a rare opportunity to hang out with some of nature’s most photogenic residents in a tropical setting that feels miles away from the city.

Any restrictions to participate?

• Age: Minimum age is 10 years old
• Health limitations: Not suitable for individuals suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol

Who can you accommodate for?

• Children: Participants ages 10 to 16 must be accompanied by an adult encounter participant (1 adult per 6 youth). Minors under 18 must have a signed liability waiver by a parent or legal guardian. If the guardian is not present, a notarized Child Care Authorization Form and a copy of the guardian’s ID must be provided
• Individuals with disabilities: Guests with medical conditions or special needs are encouraged to inform staff in advance so accommodations can be arranged
• Pets: Sorry, no pets allowed

What to expect on the day of the experience?

• Duration: 30 minutes
• What’s included:
  • Interactive flamingo encounter and feeding session
  • Educational presentation from animal keepers
  • General admission to Jungle Island, including Jungle Splash, Tree Walk Village, and the park
• Who will be present: Trained staff members will guide and supervise the experience
• Spectators: Only ticketed participants are allowed in the encounter area
• Photo/ video: Personal photography is permitted. Participants may also be recorded or photographed by the park for promotional purposes
• Specific rules to follow: All participants must follow staff instructions and complete a liability waiver

How to prepare?

• Weather dependency: Rain or shine, the experience will be running
• Arrival: Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes in advance of your scheduled time
• Parking: Parking available onsite at Jungle Island, 1111 Parrot Jungle Trail, Miami, FL
• What to wear: Comfortable clothing and shoes for walking
• What to bring: Valid photo ID, water, and your camera or smartphone
• Restrooms/ lockers/ changing rooms: Restrooms available throughout the park

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 14 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 24 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 24 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
