This 2-hour Sail, Snorkel, and Paddle tour invites you to explore the stunning Wailea coast in a traditional Hawaiian Outrigger Canoe. Your journey begins on the picturesque Polo Beach, where you'll be introduced to the fascinating history, construction, and navigation techniques of ancient Hawaiian sailing canoes.

Once aboard the Hawaiian Sailing Canoe 'Hina', you’ll launch directly from the beach, just as the Hawaiians did centuries ago. Sail the gentle Wailea breeze and enjoy unparalleled views of Maui's coastline. The tour includes snorkeling with sea turtles and, if you’re lucky, some seasonal whale watching. Along the way, learn about Hawaiian history and culture from knowledgeable guides. With juice, water, and snorkel gear provided, all you need to bring is your sense of adventure for an unforgettable Hawaiian experience.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

  • Duration: 2-hour tour
  • What’s included: Juice/water and snorkel gear provided
  • Who will be present: You will have a guide with you at all times and other participants may be joining, with at least 2 participants needed to run the tour.
  • Spectators: No spectators are allowed, everyone must have a ticket/reservation.
  • Photo/ video: You may take your own photos, waterproof cameras are recommended.
  • Specific rules to follow: Follow the guide’s instructions at all times.

How to prepare?

  • Weather dependency: Rain or shine, the experience will be running
  • Arrival: Plan to arrive a few minutes in advance
  • Parking: Not specified
  • What to wear: Bathing suit
  • What to bring:
    • Reef safe sunscreen
    • Hat
    • Sunglasses
    • Camera (waterproof preferably)
    • Lock box available on the beach for last-minute items (car keys, wallets, etc.)
  • Restrooms/ lockers/ changing rooms: Lock box available.

  • The adventure starts on Polo Beach in Wailea, Maui, where you will learn about ancient Hawaiian sailing canoe tradition, construction, and navigation before launching the Hawaiian Sailing Canoe 'Hina' straight from the beach.

Returns, exchanges and cancellation

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 30 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 24 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 24 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
