Embark on a 5.5 to 6-hour Monterey Bay Orca Killer Whale Cruise to explore the depths and wonders of the bay. While orcas are seen year-round, sightings peak in April and May as they hunt migrating Gray Whale calves. This extended tour provides ample time to search for these elusive predators and observe other marine life that populates the bay.

The cruise takes place on the 100ft Atlantis Monterey, equipped with a heated cabin and snack bar. It's an ideal opportunity for those interested in marine biology, photography, and nature observation. Be prepared for a day at sea by dressing in warm layers and considering seasickness preventatives. Note that this cruise is suitable for individuals 8 years and older and does not accommodate pregnant women. Whether or not orcas make an appearance, the rich biodiversity of Monterey Bay ensures a memorable experience.

  • Who will be present: You'll join other guests on this extended Killer Whale Cruise.
  • Spectators: No spectators allowed; everyone must have a ticket.

How to prepare?

  • Weather dependency: Cruises will proceed in light rain and moderate weather conditions.
  • Arrival: Check in at 7:30am; departure at 8:00am.
  • Parking: Information on parking will be provided upon ticket purchase.
  • What to wear: Warm layers, long pants, a warm windproof jacket, flat-soled closed-toed shoes.
  • What to bring:
    • Camera, extra batteries, and memory cards.
    • Your own food and non-alcoholic beverages are welcome.
