Experience the enchantment of Parisian baking with our exclusive French Pastry class at Le Cordon Bleu-inspired setting! This hands-on workshop demystifies the art of making French Choux pastry, a skill many bakers find daunting yet is surprisingly simple to master. Under the guidance of a skilled Pastry Chef Instructor, you will learn to craft perfect choux dough, which is the foundation for a variety of exquisite desserts including Eclairs, Cream Puffs, Gougères, Churros, French Cruller Donuts, and Choux Beignets.

From a comprehensive demonstration to step-by-step hands-on instruction, you'll pipe, bake, and fill your creations, gaining the confidence to recreate these treats at home. Our classes are designed for everyone from enthusiastic home cooks to baking novices, providing all necessary equipment and ingredients. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun, focusing on learning and enjoyment rather than strict formality.

Whether you want to dive into every step of the process or prefer to watch and assist (while taste-testing, of course), this class offers a delightful experience. This experience organizes participants into small groups to ensure personal attention and a communal feeling. Remember to come a little early, and if you’re 21 or over, feel free to bring your own beer, wine, or champagne to enhance your pastry adventure!

  • Dietary restrictions: This class is vegetarian friendly, nut free, fish free and shellfish free.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

  • Duration: This class is approximately 2.5 hours long.
  • What’s included: All instruction, equipment and ingredients needed.
  • Who will be present: You will have a teacher with you at all times; also, other guests may be joining (from 8 to 26 people). You will work with other students in groups of 2 to 4.
  • Spectators: Everyone must have a ticket/reservations.
  • Photo/ video: Photography is allowed and encouraged.

How to prepare?

  • Weather dependency: This is an indoor experience
  • Arrival: Plan to arrive 15 minutes in advance
  • Parking: You can park at the experience location.
  • What to wear: We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and shoes. Please dress in clothing you won't mind getting dirty.
  • What to bring: Guests are invited to BYOB (beer, wine and champagne only).
  • Restrooms/ lockers/ changing rooms: There are restrooms at the experience location.

FAQs

What should I expect on the day of the class?

Arrive a few minutes early to check in with the chef instructor using the ticket holder’s name. No need to bring a printed confirmation. The class will typically start with an introduction and a brief overview of the recipes you'll be preparing. Ingredients and cooking stations will be provided, and the chef will guide you through each step. After cooking, you'll enjoy the delicious meal you've created.

Why do classes work together in groups?

Cooking classes are designed to be a social and interactive experience. Working in groups encourages collaboration, allows for sharing of tips and techniques, and enhances the fun of the learning process. It's also a great way to meet new people who share your interests.

Can you accommodate food allergies?

Will I eat the food after cooking?

Yes! Enjoying the meal you've prepared is the best reward for all your efforts.

Returns, exchanges and cancellation

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 30 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows mean losing the value of your experience. Rescheduling less than 48 hours in advance is subject to a $20 per person rescheduling fee. A minimum of 8 participants is required for the class to run. If the minimum is not met, the provider reserves the right to cancel the class and will make every effort to reschedule customers.

What a delightful evening! The BYOB French Pastry Baking Class was not only educational but also a lot of fun. The small class size meant we got plenty of personal attention.
