Itinerary:

  • Ahukini Landing: Begin with a scenic view where crucial movie scenes were shot.
  • Lydgate Beach: Explore the beaches seen in numerous Hollywood productions.
  • Opaeka'a Falls: Marvel at the waterfall that has featured in several films.
  • Kapa'a Town: Enjoy a leisurely drive through this charming town with a cinematic past.
  • Kalalea Mountain: View the dramatic backdrop used in "King Kong" and other films.
  • Kilauea Lighthouse: Take in the views from this iconic location used as a scenic overlook in movies.
  • Hanalei Town and Pier: Have lunch on your own and explore the area where movies like "The Descendants" were filmed.
  • Hanalei Valley Lookout: Capture the breathtaking vistas of the valley known for its dramatic landscape scenes.

  • Pets: Sorry, no pets allowed.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

  • Duration: Approximately 8 hours
  • What’s included: Transportation throughout the tour, a knowledgeable guide, and movie clips at various film locations.
  • Who will be present: You will be accompanied by a guide throughout the tour. Other guests will also be part of the tour, enhancing a group experience.
  • Photo/video: Guests are encouraged to take photos to capture their experience; however, photography restrictions may apply at certain locations.
  • Specific rules to follow: Adherence to the guide’s instructions and respect for all tour sites and fellow participants is expected.

How to prepare?

  • Weather dependency: The tour operates rain or shine; please dress accordingly.
  • Arrival: Plan to arrive at the designated meeting point (KOA Kailua-Kona Airport) at least 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
  • Parking: Parking is available at the meeting point; further details will be provided upon booking.
  • What to wear: Comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing.
  • What to bring: Water, sunscreen, camera, and a hat. Lunch is on your own, so bring money for food.
  • Restrooms/lockers/changing rooms: Restrooms are available at various stops throughout the tour. There are no lockers or changing rooms, so carry only what you need.

Returns, exchanges and cancellation

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 30 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 7 days before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 7 days in advance means losing the value of your experience.
