The experience goes beyond the basics, teaching you the art of safely identifying edible mushrooms and steering clear of lookalikes. Led by seasoned guides who have pre-scouted the area, you'll uncover tasty mushrooms, both renowned and obscure, ensuring a memorable and successful expedition. Even if you don't strike mushroom gold on your own, fear not – you'll head home with delightful goodies to enjoy.

With a 95% success rate, education takes the spotlight in this introductory foraging experience. Learn the ins and outs of finding, collecting, cleaning, storing, and cooking mushrooms. While no one can predict exactly when or where you'll strike mushroom gold, it will surely be an epic journey filled with "OMG!" Kodak moments and you'll gain the skills to kickstart a lifelong mushroom-hunting hobby. Don't let the seasons pass you by – let's explore the bountiful world of mushrooms!

Any restrictions to participate?

  • Age: All age groups are welcome.
  • Physical limitations: You will need to be comfortable hiking off-trail for up to a mile. Expect to crouch and stand for up to two hours.
  • Experience level: All levels are welcome.

Who can you accommodate for?

  • Children: All participants must pay to participate, children included.
  • Individuals with disabilities: Unfortunately, this experience is not wheelchair accessible.
  • Pets: Sorry, no pets allowed.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

  • Duration: 2 Hours
  • What’s included: 
    • All foraging-related supplies (basket, mushroom knife, nitrile gloves, reference book, and hand warmers)
    • Mushrooms to bring home
    • 18% gratuity for your guide
  • Who will be present: You will have a guide/teacher with you at all times; also, other guests may be joining (up to 10 people).
  • Spectators: No spectators are allowed, everyone must have a ticket/reservations.
  • Photo/ video: You may take your own photos.
  • Specific rules to follow: Not allowed to smoke, need to follow the guide’s rules, no alcohol or substances

How to prepare?

  • Weather dependency: Light rain or shine, the experience will be running.
  • Arrival: Plan to arrive 15 minutes in advance.
  • Parking: You may park your car at the trailhead.
  • What to wear: It is recommended to dress for the weather. Specifically, a rain jacket, hat, gloves, and hiking boots are strongly recommended.
  • What to bring: A small backpack and water bottle
  • Restrooms/ lockers/ changing rooms: Sorry, no restrooms at the trailhead. Make sure to take care of business beforehand or bring your own supplies if you need to go au naturel!

Returns, exchanges and cancellation
