As you walk through the historic streets of downtown San Diego, our expert guides will lead you through the city's darkest chapters. Discover the notorious era of the Stingaree, a time of vice and sin that once consumed the Gaslamp Quarter. Unearth the tragic tale of a gambler's untimely demise at a historic hotel, with rumors of his ghost still lingering in the room.

The tour then takes a chilling turn back to the roaring 1920s, an era of murder, revenge, and slavery in San Diego. Hear the haunting story of the third victim of a notorious serial killer and uncover one of the most horrific crimes to ever occur in downtown San Diego.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

Duration: 1h30 minute tour
What’s included:
- 1-mile guided walking tour
- Food & drink NOT included
- We do not enter any ships or buildings
Who will be present: Your party size can be as small as 1 person, however our tours require a minimum of 4 paid guests to run and have a maximum of 16 participants per tour. You will have a guide with you at all times.
Spectators: No spectators are allowed, everyone must have a ticket/reservations
Photo/ video: You may take your own photos

How to prepare?

Weather dependency: Final weather decisions are made 2 hours before the event. The tour will run in light rain. In the case of a downpour we will give you the option to run in the rain or cancel. In heavy rain we will contact you 2 hours before the event to see what you would prefer. If you cancel, you will have the option to reschedule for a future date.
Arrival: Plan to arrive 15 minutes in advance
Parking: We recommend parking in the garage at 614 Market Street
- Please note parking in the Gaslamp Quarter is limited and is not free! Be sure to arrive early enough to give yourself plenty of time to find parking or you may want to ride the Trolley. This event is downtown so you may want to check to see if there are other events going on that would require additional time for parking. Our tours start promptly at the designated start time and partner reserves the right to scalp your tickets if you don’t arrive on time.

Restrooms/ lockers/ changing rooms: No stops will be made on this tour, please use a facility before arriving.
