Over the course of 75 minutes, your guide will lead you through the buildings, streets, and landmarks that make up this legendary complex. Along the way, you'll explore the impressive architecture and discover stunning artworks by renowned artists, such as:

  • Famous sculptures by Isamu Noguchi, Michio Ihara, and Paul Manship, including the iconic Prometheus statue
  • Impressive murals by Jose Maria Sert and Sir Frank Brangwyn
  • Historic works by Lee Lawrie, Gaston Lachaise, Attilio Piccirilli, and Leo Lentelli

The tour includes stops at the Channel Gardens and the world-famous skating rink (open seasonally), as well as several art deco masterpieces, including the iconic 30 Rockefeller Plaza. Any restrictions to participate?

  • Age: All age groups are welcome
  • Physical limitations: If you have difficulty standing or walking for extended periods of time then this tour may not be suitable. The schedule does not allow for rest periods.

Who can you accommodate for?

  • Children: Children and strollers are both allowed on the tour. However the focus of the tour, with its historical context, is geared to adults. Consequently, young children may not understand much of the tour’s subject matter.
  • Individuals with disabilities: The tour is wheelchair accessible and services dogs are welcome.
  • Pets: Sorry, no pets allowed.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

  • Duration: 1 hour and 15 minutes 
  • What’s included: 
    • Guided tour which focuses on the art and architecture of Rockefeller Center.
    • Closed circuit headsets that provide a clear, uninterrupted listening experience.
    • The tour does NOT include stops at NBC Studios or Radio City Music Hall.
  • Who will be present: You will have a tour guide with you at all times as well as up to 20 total tour participants within your tour group. There can be up to 3 groups touring at the same time for a total of 60 people.
  • Spectators: No spectators are allowed, everyone must have a ticket.
  • Photo/ video: Photos and videos are encouraged!

How to prepare?

  • Weather dependency: The tour will run rain or shine. If the weather makes it difficult to conduct the tour outside, your guide may choose to focus on interior artworks and points of interest. Moving from building to building will require being outside, however, so dress accordingly. Also, keep an umbrella handy as they will not be available from the guide.
  • Arrival: Plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to the tour start time.
  • Parking: The Rockefeller Center parking garage is located at 53 West 48th Street on the north side of 48th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues.
  • What to wear: Comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather conditions and good walking shoes.
  • What to bring: Photo ID, water bottle, and any personal items to be comfortable (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, etc…).
  • Restrooms/ lockers/ changing rooms: It is recommended to use the restroom prior to the tour. There are no lockers or changing rooms available.

Returns, exchanges and cancellation

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 30 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

The Rockefeller Center Walking Tour was fantastic!
