Physical limitations: Need to be able to walk two miles on a mostly paved and flat walkway

Who can you accommodate for?

Children: All participants must pay to participate, children included. Children under the age of 8 must have an appropriate child seat for the tour.
Languages: The live tour to Muir Woods is fully guided in English. For foreign language speakers, recorded audio guides are offered in: Spanish, French, German, Italian, Mandarin, and Japanese. Please specify your preferred language when booking. Guided tours are not permitted inside the park.
Pets: Sorry, no pets allowed.

- Admission fee to Muir Woods National Monument
- Reserved parking for your vehicle at Muir Woods
- Meals are NOT included
Who will be present: You will have a guide with you at all times; also, other guests may be joining (up to around 16 people).
Spectators: No spectators are allowed, everyone must have a ticket/reservations.
Photo/ video: You may take your own photos.
Specific rules to follow: Picnics are not allowed in the park. There is a small café just inside the entry gate but it is best to have a meal before the tour so you don’t spend precious time standing in line for food.

How to prepare?

Weather dependency: Rain or shine, the experience will be running.
Arrival: Plan to arrive at the pickup point a few minutes in advance.
Parking: Reserved parking for your vehicle at Muir Woods is included.
What to wear: Muir Woods can be chilly in the morning and is nearly always shaded by the forest canopy. It’s best to dress in layers and wear comfortable walking shoes or sandals. High heels or flip-flops are not recommended. Bring along a waterproof top layer in case of rain.
What to bring: A camera or phone, water bottle, hat, sunscreen, umbrella (if the forecast calls for rain), and cash or a credit card for snacks and souvenirs
Restrooms/ lockers/ changing rooms: We will stop for bathroom breaks.

Returns, exchanges and cancellation

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 30 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 72 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 72 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.

Our tour guide was absolutely awesome! His knowledge of San Fran and its history was impressive, and he had us laughing throughout the entire trip. We made a stop at the Golden Gate Bridge to capture some breathtaking photos on a clear, sunny day before heading to Muir Woods, where the beauty was beyond words. We had a good amount of time to explore the woods, and the quick visit to Sausalito on the way back was a lovely addition. We could have stayed longer, but the 30 minutes we had there allowed us to soak up the sun by the water. Overall, a fantastic experience!

My boyfriend and I opted for the bus tour to Muir Woods from our hotel, the Zaphry, and decided to book a ferry ride back to Pier 39 from Sausalito. We parked at the pier 39 parking structure and took a leisurely walk to the hotel. Our tour guide was absolutely amazing! He made the trip super fun and enjoyable. We had a generous 1 hour and 40 minutes to explore Muir Woods, which was truly a treat. Highly recommend this tour. We had to make last-minute changes to our pickup plans, but the staff was incredibly accommodating. We had a great time!

I had a fantastic time on the half-day Muir Woods tour to Sausalito. Despite having visited San Francisco multiple times, I still learned a lot of new things on this tour. We even managed to squeeze in a stop at the Golden Gate Bridge for a photo opportunity! Our guide provided us with plenty of information about the area before we arrived at Muir Woods, where we had almost a full 2 hours to explore the woods at our own pace. After our time in the woods, we headed to Sausalito, where we had the option to take the ferry or return with the guide to the city. I had about 45 minutes in Sausalito, which was ample time for a quick bite or a leisurely stroll along the main street. I greatly appreciated our guide dropping me off exactly where I wanted to go in Fisherman's Wharf. This tour was exactly what I was looking for, with the perfect combination of Muir Woods, a taste of Sausalito, and an excellent tour guide!
