Held at The Maison on Frenchmen Street, this immersive experience plunges you into the historic red light district of Storyville at the turn of the century. The evening centers around "The Mystery of the Murdered Madam" - a plot woven with intrigue and dark humor where a famous madam has met a grim fate, and everyone around her had the motive to do it.

Over the course of two hours, you can choose to dive into the role of detective, interrogating suspects and piecing together clues, or simply enjoy the twists and turns of the story as a spectator. The characters you'll meet are inspired by the real shady figures from New Orleans history, adding an authentic edge to the interactive gameplay. Remember, there’s no food service, so plan accordingly, and the historic venue’s atmosphere is part of the charm, though it's not wheelchair accessible. This adults-only event requires a photo ID, ensuring an evening free from underage interruptions. Whether you’re solving the crime or soaking in the scandalous stories, Killer Theater promises a uniquely entertaining experience.

  • What’s included: A live interactive murder mystery game, a polaroid of your group, historical images, and a private bar where drinks can be purchased.
  • Who will be present: A guide (the host of the game) will be present along with up to 15 other guests per session.

How to prepare?

  • Weather dependency: The event is held indoors and will proceed regardless of weather conditions.
  • Arrival: Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time to check in.
  • Parking: Street parking is available near The Maison, 508 Frenchmen St.
  • What to wear: Jazz age costumes are welcome but not mandatory. Comfortable attire is recommended.
  • What to bring:
    • Bring a photo ID to verify your age.
    • No food is available at the venue, so eat beforehand or plan accordingly.
    • You may bring personal items such as small bags, but space may be limited.

Returns, exchanges and cancellation

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 30 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 48 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 48 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
