The Kids Pony Ride is a 30-minute experience where young riders get the chance to be led around the grounds on a calm horse, under the supervision of a parent, guardian, or a family member. For those not keen on leading the horse themselves, there's an option to have a staff member do it for a small additional fee. The experience is designed with safety in mind, utilizing older, more tranquil horses that are accustomed to young riders.

Observers, namely family and friends, can come along to watch the fun unfold, but there’s a nominal grounds fee for every additional adult after the first two. It’s important to fill out an online waiver for both the adult contact and the child rider before arrival — you'll find the link in your booking confirmation. Remember, these rides stick to the yard, offering a secure and controlled environment for the kids.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

  • Duration: 30 minutes
  • What’s included: A gentle horse ride, with the option for a staff member to lead the horse, picnic lunch, and beverages.
  • Who will be present: A family member is required to be present; staff available for additional fee to lead pony.
  • Spectators: Additional adults over the included two will incur a grounds fee.
  • Photo/video: You may take your own photos; capturing these moments is encouraged!
  • Specific rules to follow: Adult contact information required at booking, child’s name in rider field, ponies led around the yard.

How to prepare?

  • Weather dependency: Dress weather-appropriate and wear gloves in cold weather. The experience runs rain or shine.
  • Arrival: Plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to ride time for check-in.
  • Parking: Available on-site; inquire for specifics.
  • What to wear: Comfortable closed-toe walking shoes for all, sturdy, closed-toe shoes, and long pants for the rider.
  • What to bring: Water is recommended for everyone. Carrots for the horses are welcome, available for purchase at the ranch.

Anything else I should know before going on this experience?

  • Sunscreen is mandatory.
  • A waiver must be completed by all attendees, linked in the confirmation email.

Returns, exchanges and cancellation

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 30 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 24 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 24 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
