  • Children: Children ages 7 and under can join for free but need to be signed up at the time of reservation.
  • Dietary restrictions: Please note that stops may include shellfish, nuts, and pork. Guests with allergies should take this into consideration.
    • Note: not all accommodations may be feasible, please inquire about specific needs,
  • Pets: Sorry, no pets allowed.

  • What’s included:
    • A walking tour of 10+ local eateries in the downtown Strand District.
    • Water provided at each stop, with options to purchase alcohol, tea, and sodas.
    • Exploration of both new and old Galveston, with stops for family-friendly activities.
  • Who will be present: A Tour Guide Specialist will be with you at all times, along with other guests, as the tour allows for group participation.
  • Photo/ video: Personal photography is encouraged during the tour.
  • Specific rules to follow: Alcohol purchases require a valid 21+ photo ID. Gratuities for the tour guide are appreciated.

How to prepare?

  • Weather dependency: The tour operates rain or shine, but does not operate during hurricanes, gale-force winds, or major storms.
  • Arrival: Plan to arrive 10 minutes prior to the start time.
  • What to wear: Comfortable shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather.
  • What to bring:
    • Bring your appetite!
    • A valid 21+ ID for alcohol purchases.
  • Restrooms: Restrooms available at stops.

Anything else I should know before going on this experience?

  • The tour does not operate during Mardi Gras, Biker Rally, or Dickens on the Strand.
  • The tour involves walking on cobblestone streets and stairs inside and outside of most establishments.

Returns, exchanges and cancellation

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 30 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.
