This 4-hour excursion gives you the freedom to explore at your own pace. Start your journey by picking up your kayak and gear at a convenient Kailua location, where staff will help you safely secure your kayak to your vehicle. After a brief demonstration and safety talk, set off for Kualoa Regional Park, a scenic 30-minute drive away.

The paddle to Mokoli'i offers gentle waters and consistent breezes, ideal for beginners or those with some ocean kayaking experience. The destination? A striking basalt islet where adventure awaits. You can snorkel in the vibrant waters around the islet or take on the challenge of hiking to its summit for a breathtaking view of Oahu’s eastern shores. The final ascent offers a thrilling climb, rewarding you with unparalleled vistas. This tour is perfect for those looking to add a dash of adventure to their holiday, equipped with all the essentials for a day of exploration.

Any restrictions to participate?

  • Age: All age groups are welcome
  • Experience level: Recommended for individuals who have some experience kayaking in the ocean, although beginners can join if they feel comfortable.

Who can you accommodate for?

  • Children: All participants must pay to participate, children included.
  • Individuals with disabilities: This experience involves transporting kayaks and potential hiking, which might be challenging for individuals with certain physical disabilities.
  • Pets: Sorry, no pets allowed.

What to expect on the day of the experience?

  • Duration: 4 hours.
  • What’s included: Self-guided kayak rental, life jackets, seatbacks, paddles, safety equipment, and a 15L dry bag rental.
  • Who will be present: The friendly team will assist you at the storefront with equipment setup and provide a quick demo and safety talk. After that, you will head out to Kualoa Regional Park on your own.
  • Photo/ video: You may take your own photos. Capture the scenic views and your adventure!
  • Specific rules to follow: Keep on trails, pick up litter, avoid stepping on the reef, and be mindful of the bird sanctuary on Mokoli'i.

How to prepare?

  • Weather dependency: The experience runs rain or shine; conditions are generally best in the mornings.
  • Arrival: Please show up 15 minutes before your booking time at 134B Hamakua Dr. Kailua, HI 96734.
  • Parking: Available at the first parking lot on the left as you enter Kualoa Regional Park.
  • What to wear: Water shoes or athletic shoes for hiking, bathing suit, sunscreen.
  • What to bring:
    • Recommended: Water bottle, snacks.
    • What’s allowed: Personal belongings in the provided drybag.
    • What’s not allowed: Refrain from bringing unnecessary valuables as storage space is limited.

Returns, exchanges and cancellation

Unused Experience Vouchers can be returned within 30 days for a full refund to the original purchaser, no questions asked.

If you have any unused Experience Vouchers, you can exchange them for anything else in our marketplace, no matter when. If you choose an experience that's more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference, but if you choose one that costs less, you'll receive a credit towards your next booking.

No refunds are allowed once the experience is booked, but you can reschedule up to 48 hours before your experience, for a date within a year of the original booking. To reschedule, contact the experience provider directly. No-shows or rescheduling less than 48 hours in advance means losing the value of your experience.
